Greetings from TheMelit :)
Environmental Science is a particular passion of mine. It matters not if it is weather, oceans, earthquakes or outer space - I seek and suck up data as often as I can. I am a living (hopefully) being on the planet and since everything in nature is connected I have always been intrigued and fascinated by Nature and how EVERYTHING works. The harmony of it appeals to me and I am deeply concerned about the level of disruption that Nature is facing due to the activities of humans.
I have been teaching since 1989 and my concern for student achievement is very well known. I have many different teaching styles that I employ to help my students "get it". This is the one profession that serves everyone and has the potential to, in a very real and concrete way, shape the future.
In the sidebar (right side) you can find my classroom rules and expectations, Student Responsibilities and other files of interest. They are all PDF files and can be printed for your convenience.
Please read them and always remember: Polite, respectful behavior does make a difference!! AND-If you wouldn't say it or do it in front of "Grandma" don't do it around THE MELIT :)
